Three Year Olds Start to Make Their Mark
Torryburn Stud has retained some exciting horses from the 2013 foal crop and the are now out and about and giving us all that feeling of anticipation as they start to feel their feet in their first few starts.
Diddums, the Gerald Ryan trained Snitzel filly out of Raheights has never been out of the placings since her first start win and scored again for a win at her fourth start at Warwick Farm. She is now spelling at the farm and having a well deserved break.
Another exciting youngster is Axiomatic, the half sister to NZ sensation Xtravagant. The daughter of O'Reilly had her first start on 29 October at Newcastle following a winning trial at Rosehill and Chris Waller is looking for her next suitable start.
The Snowden trained The Pinnacle, who finished second in her only start to date has just commenced pre-training alongside her stablemate Red Hearts who finished third at Warwick Farm in her first start. This will be the second preparation for both fillies who both fill us with confidence.
The older horses are also performing well with Daisy Duke pulling out another sensational performance at Doomben on 5 November to claim her fourth career win and accelerate her prizemoney to just under $100K. It is believed that the bars of Brisbane were rewarded for her efforts by some of our partners who flew up for the occasion. Congratulations to trainer Doug Roberts and regular hoop Robbie Fradd.
A number of our other older runners are just starting to come back into work so we hope to bring some good news on them soon.
